Description
Industrial plants using electro motors are always faced with the problem of shaking and slipping due to engine torque. This is a situation where slip resistors are remedied. Slip resistors are used when excessive loads during specific operations, for example, in drive crushers, cutting drives, helicopter drives, or in general, where the effect of engine slip need to be controlled and restricted, causes disturbances in the system. In fact, this equipment limits the torque when the vibrating ring engines start to work.
The operational process of this resistor is that the resistance restricts the torque slip in circulating cycles – which is in operation or is starting to work. This torque limitation during operations is normal, and if it occurs too much, the nominal flow rate decreases, and in normal operations, the nominal speed is constant.
SMP slip resistors are made of either stainless steel or cast iron. The enclosure can be changed according to customer requirements. And in most conditions, weather conditions can be used.
These resistors are available with a 5%, 7%, 10%, or 15% slip.
